A nurse first

Trisha (Patricia) Folan began her career as a student nurse at University College London Hospitals in 1990. She has been a Registered General Nurse for 36 years, and holds a BSc, a Diploma and an MSc.

Those decades on hospital wards shaped how she works today: careful assessment, clean and safe practice, honest advice and proper aftercare. Seven years ago she brought those skills into medical aesthetics, and she now runs her own clinic in Ardcavan, just outside Wexford town.

Why a small, private clinic

Trisha's clinic is attached to her home, which is why she doesn't use online booking. Every new client starts with an enquiry and a consultation, so she can get to know you, check that treatment is safe and right for you, and build a plan together. She treats adults aged 21 and over only.

It also means you see the same person every time: the nurse who assessed you is the nurse who treats you and reviews your results.

Her approach

"Enhance, refresh, rejuvenate" sums it up. Trisha prefers subtle changes that make you look rested and well, not different. She uses medical-grade products from established brands, and she would rather do a little and review than do too much at once.

Always learning

Aesthetics moves quickly, and Trisha keeps up. She regularly attends training and conferences, including medical aesthetic conferences in London, and events on medical-grade skincare in Ireland. New treatments only arrive in her clinic once she's trained in them and confident in the results, as with the launch of Sculptra in 2026.

Safety and standards

Every injectable carries risks, and Trisha is open about them. Before any treatment she takes a full medical history, checks your medicines and allergies, and explains possible side effects in plain language. She uses medical-grade products from established manufacturers, and she will tell you if a treatment isn't right for you, even if it means not treating you at all.
