What dermal fillers do
Dermal fillers are soft gels made from hyaluronic acid, a sugar your skin already makes to hold water. As we age we lose volume in the cheeks, around the mouth and along the jaw, and lips can thin and lose their border. A small, well-placed amount of filler replaces some of that volume, so the face looks rested rather than changed.
Trisha uses premium, medical-grade fillers, including brands such as Neauvia and IBSA Aliaxin. Different gels suit different jobs: a soft gel for lips and fine lines, a firmer gel for cheeks, chin and jawline, where structure matters.
Areas Trisha treats
- Lip filler. Gentle shape and hydration in the body of the lip, often 0.5 to 1ml, keeping the natural proportions of your mouth.
- Lip lines and the perioral area. The fine "smoker's lines" above the lip and the creases at the corners of the mouth, softened with a soft filler.
- Cheeks. Restoring lost volume in the mid-cheek to lift and rebalance the face. Trisha often uses a cannula here to reduce bruising.
- Chin and jawline. Projection for the chin and a clearer jawline, for a more balanced side profile.

Your appointment, step by step
Everything starts with a consultation. Trisha checks your medical history, medicines and allergies, looks at your face from every angle, and explains what filler can and cannot do for you. If filler is not the right choice, she will say so and suggest something that is.
On the day, the area is cleansed and numbed where needed; most fillers also contain a local anaesthetic. You will see the change straight away, though lips in particular can be swollen for a few days.
Aftercare and results
Expect some swelling, tenderness or small bruises for a few days. Avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, saunas and make-up on the area for 24 hours, and don't massage the area unless Trisha asks you to. Results settle at around two weeks, which is when a review is useful.

Is filler safe?
In trained medical hands, hyaluronic acid fillers have a long safety record, but every injectable carries risks, including infection, lumps and, rarely, a blocked blood vessel.
